Traditional natural Bittim soap made with 100% Bittim oil processed with ancient methods using lye and salt. Bittim is the fruit of the Pistacia terebinthus (Wild Pistachio) tree which grows in Southeast Turkey. Bittim oil contains vitamin E which may support healthy skin and hair.
This soap has traditionally been used for body and hair washing. Suitable for Vegans.
Due to the handmade nature of the process, each bar of soap may vary in size, texture and colour.
People in the villages of Southeast Turkey used to use a pure and natural soap to wash face, body and hair, but it seemed to disappear years ago. Although many versions of Bittim soap exist, none seemed as pure and natural as that available decades ago. A long search for a hand crafted version of the traditional soap, made with nothing but the finest simple ingredients finally paid off when we found our partner who makes the soap following ancient methods with Bittim oil from the fruit of his own trees.
